Just like the anime, this film is considered to offer a profound and thought-provoking experience after watching Shinji’s life. With this movie, Anno was able to pull himself back after the backlash and deliver a successful reply to toxic fans. I recommend you start the Neon Genesis Evangelion series and witness the true masterpiece of a show and the movie.
