5 Villains That Can Replace Kang in Avengers 5
AfterJonathan Majors was fired from Marvel Studiosfollowing his arrest and guilty verdict, it was speculated by fans that a new actor will be cast to play Kang in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, according to the latest reports, it has been confirmed that Marvel has officially renamed Avengers: The Kang Dynasty to just Avengers 5 putting an end to the tale of Kang the Conqueror. Now, with this, who is going to be the big bad guy in the upcoming Marvel movies? In this article, I’ve compiled a list of 5 villains that can replace Kang in Avengers 5. So, go through it and let me know in the comments who you think to be the most probable replacement for Kang.
5. Annihilus
Now, since Marvel is all set to introduce theFantastic Four to us soon enough, there is a probability that the villain that replaces Kang in Avengers 5 could be from the Fantastic Four franchise. One of the solid contenders from it is Annihilus. Wielding the cosmic rod which grants him immense power, Annihilus is the ruler of the negative zone.
He found his way to Earth when he encountered the Fantastic Four after Reed Richards found a way to travel between the Negative Zone and Earth. With Avengers 5 scheduled for 2026, there is enough time for Marvel to introduce an intergalactic bad guy in Fantastic Four carrying forward his story to Avengers: Secret Wars.
4. Mister Sinister
In the upcomingDeadpool and Wolverine movie, Marvel is finally bringing in the X-Men franchise to MCU. Now, if they can bring in the heroes, why not the bad guy? In the X-Men Saga, Mister Sinister is a major villain and is responsible for the death of Hope Summers, adoptive daughter of Cable. He has not just been a deadly threat but is also responsible for mentally destroying Scott Summers AKA Cyclops.
Overall, Mister Sinister is one of the most insane bad guys in the history of X-Men. He is not only deadly but also has crippled the X-Men mentally multiple times. If Marvel is out for a classic bad guy to replace Kang in Avengers 5, Mister Sinister is a solid option.
3. Cassandra Nova
It is now confirmed that Professor X’s evil twin,Cassandra Novais going to be a major villain in the Deadpool and Wolverine movie. In the already-released teaser for Deadpool 3, we got to see a glimpse of her character. Hopefully, in the upcoming trailer for the movie, we get to see the complete character design for the character.
Cassandra Nova is essentially a powerful telepath like Professor along with certain other powers. This makes her twice as strong as Charles Xavier and being twisted in the head, she is a complete menace. Since she is being introduced in Deadpool and Wolverine, there is a probability that her tale carries on further in the MCU as a major villain.
2. Galactus
Anyone who has read the Fantastic Four comics knows that one of the greatest threats the F4 has faced is Galactus. In the Marvel Universe, Galactus is a cosmic being with powers that are quite literally immeasurable. He possesses God-like powers and is considered to be omnipotent. If we look into the rumors about the Fantastic Four movie, there is a very high probability that Galactus is going to be the main villain of it. From there on, Marvel can set up the villain for Avengers 5.
1. Doctor Doom
The biggest contender for the new bad guy of Marvel Studios is Victor Von Doom aka Doctor Doom. According to a report byVariety,Marvel Studios were discussing replacing Kang with another villain in the presence of Kevin Feige and other heads of Marvel Studios. In the process, the name of Doctor Doom came up quite frequently.
If you look closely at theeaster eggs in the Deadpool 3 teaser, you’ll see a copy of Secret Wars lying near Deadpool by the end of it. Secret Wars was the comic run where Doctor Doom becomes extremely powerful after absorbing the power of the Beyonders. So, considering everything we know so far, Doctor Doom could be the villain that replaces Kang in Avengers 5.
