Diablo 4: How to Leave Dungeons (3 Ways)

Dungeons are the forefront of the experience in Diablo 4, and the developer team has put some nifty systems around it, such as making the process to leave them super simple. While previous Diablo titles had dungeons, leaving after clearing them was not a seamless experience. The same was the case in the initial Diablo 4 betas too, but fortunately, that has been changed for good. So, in this guide, let’s learn how to leave dungeon after finishing it.

There might be some scenarios where you want to leave a dungeon early too. Sometimes it can be because you must be out of potions or want to upgrade your gear. Other times, it can be after completing the dungeon. Whatever be the case, Diablo 4 ensures that doing so is a simple process with two specific ways.

1. Use the ‘Leave Dungeon’ Option

1. Use the ‘Leave Dungeon’ Option

Diablo 4 ensured that when players complete a dungeon, they won’t have to retrace their steps to leave it. To combat this issue, Diablo 4 has a dedicated option to leave the dungeon. To use it, do the following:

Following the above steps will make you leave the dungeon in Diablo 4 right away. It brings you right outside so that you can continue your journey through the game.

2. Teleport Using Town Portal in Diablo 4

2. Teleport Using Town Portal in Diablo 4

The other alternative to leaving the dungeon is to use Diablo 4’s town portal, or as I like to call it, the blue teleport. Town Portal is a general teleportation ability that a player can use. Using it opens up a portal at Kyovashad (in the beta), which players can then reuse to go back to the originating point of the portal. To do so,press the T buttonon your keyboard to open the portal and spawn back at Kyovashad.

This is a great option for players looking to leave the dungeon in Diablo 4 and immediately start tinkering with the loot they have amassed. Additionally, this option allows you to leave dungeon mid-exploration, in order to fix your gears or upgrade them, and come back to it.

3. Go Back to the Dungeon Entrance

The final way to leave a dungeon in Diablo 4 is the good old backtracking. As the title suggests, just open up the map and backtrack your footsteps to the entrance of the dungeon. This is perfect for players who want to double-check if they left any loot on the floor or not.

However, unless you have no purpose, apart from just recollecting the unpicked loot, we advise against following this method. After all, why bother losing time out on menial tasks, when you can annihilate the forces of hell?
