Wriothesley and Neuvilette are the two newupcoming Fontaine charactersin Genshin Impact 4.1. As we covered in our Genshin Impact 4.1 article, Neuvilette should be featured in the first half of 4.1 whereas Wriothesley in the second half. 4.1 is almost upon us and now’s a good time to start farming materials for both the characters to ensure you can Ascend and level up their talents without any hassles. Hence, here’s our pre-farming guide for Wriothesley and Neuvilette.

For those who haven’t been closely following the official reveals, Wriothesley is a tall male Cryo character and Catalyst user who, much like Shikanoin Heizou, uses punches imbued with Cryo and a device to deal damage. Wriothesley is a damage dealer (DPS) and is one of the most anticipated Fontaine characters since the Genshin Impact 4.0 leaks. Here are the things you need to farm to ensure he reaches level 90 without any issues, if you’ve decided to pull him.

Ascension Materials

For those unaware, Shivada Jades can be obtained by defeating Cryo monsters like the Cryo Regisvine, Cryo Azdaha, and Primo Geovishap whereas the gears can be found by defeating Clockwork Mekas in Fontaine. Subdetection units and Tubion Device can be obtained once 4.1 hits.

Like Wriothesley, Monsieur Neuvilette, the Chief Justice of Fonatine, is also missing two main things for Ascension, a boss drop from an upcoming boss Millenial Pearl Seahorse, and a regional specialty. Like Wriothesley, Neuvilette is also a Catalyst user, rather than a Hydro character and he’s also rumored to be a DPS character.

Ascension Materials

Varunada Lazurites can also be found everywhere and are mainly obtained by defeating Hydro monsters such as Hydro Azdaha, Oceanid, and Primo Geovishap. On the other hand, Lumitoile is a regional specialty found in a certain Fontaine region and Xenochromatic Crystals can be obtained by defeating most enemies under Fontaine waters.

Talent Level-up Materials

Both Wriotheoisley and Neuvilette require some of the materials from upcoming bosses in Genshin Impact 4.1 which were recently leaked. Not much is known about the Experimental Field Generator and the Millenial Pearl Seahorse besides the information that the former will use gravity and the latter will use Electro to inflict damage. Both bosees are not in the game as of 4.0 so you cannot farm for boss drops yet.

As for the other materials except the Subdetection Unit and Lumitoile, which is also not available to farm as of writing this, all of them are obtainable currently in Fontaine, and a few of them might already be in your inventory. It should be easier to pre-farm for Neuvilette since both the bosses and the materials will be released as soon as 4.1 releases.

If you’re looking for the best weapons(Insert weapons link)for Neuvilette and Wriothesley, their signature weapons will also appear in version 4.1 which are Tome of the Eternal Flow and Cashflow Supervision, respectively. Besides, you can also get a free weapon in 4.1 by participating in theWindborne Poetry event.
