iQOO 12 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Chipset Confirmed to Launch on This Date
As the high-endSnapdragon 8 Gen 3chipset has finally become official, it becomes vital for OEMs to announce their first smartphones with the chipset. Xiaomi recently confirmed that the Xiaomi 14 will launch on October 26 with the chipset and now we have iQOO to join the list as the company has revealed the launch of the upcoming iQOO 12. iQOO 12 Coming Soon
iQOO hasconfirmedthat it will launch the iQOO 12 series onNovember 7in China at 7 pm local time (4:30 pm IST). The iQOO 12 series, which is likely to include the iQOO 12 and the 12 Pro will be gaming-centric. Both of them will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
It is also revealed that theiQOO 12 series will be headed to Indiasoon, as confirmed by iQOO India’s CEO Nipun Marya. This will make it the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 phone in India. As for the details, nothing much is known about the upcoming iQOO flagship phones. From what we heard in the past, the phones are likely to include a Samsung E7 AMOLED display with support for a 144Hz refresh rate. The display could havea dedicated processor, which will enable functionalities like hardware-accelerated ray tracing. This will easily run high-graphics games like Genshin Impact, PUBG Mobile, and more.
The iQOO 12 series could support up to 24GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. There might be support for 50MP triple rear cameras, a 4,880mAh battery with 120W fast charging, and more. The iQOO 12 will most likely run Android 14 out of the box.
Additionally, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset is also confirmed to power theRealme GT 5 Pro,theOnePlus 12,theRedmi K70 series,and even theupcoming Oppo flagship. Brands like Asus, Nubia, and Honor will also follow suit. The launch date for these phones remains unknown but we can expect details soon.
