The iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max have anIP68 ratingunder IEC standard 60529, which means they are splash, water, and dust resistant. However, this doesn’t make them waterproof. Instead, the iPhone 15 series is water-resistant. IP68 is the highest level of water and dust resistance that you will typically find in consumer devices. The First number in an IP rating denotes the resistance of the device against solid components like dust and thesecond digitdenotes protection against liquids(generally water). The overall rating denotes the level of dust, water, and splash that the device can withstand. Do note that this can vary depending on the manufacturer and/or the type of consumer product.

In the case of the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Pro, all four models in the lineup have IP68 rating.
