There is no mention of that devil fruit, even in the oldest books and encyclopedias on devil fruits. Thus, Luffy’s original devil fruit name has been Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika all along, and we have been tricked into thinking it’s Gomu Gomu no Miby Luffy and manga creator Eiichiro Oda.

The users can also create a duplicate version of themselves with the strings. The strings are extremely razor-sharp and can cut people, buildings, and even meteors as seen in the Dressrosa arc.
The strings can easily do big damage and cause injury to humans. This devil fruit is also very versatile in nature like Law’s Ope Ope no Mi. Ryokugyu’s Mori Mori no Mi allows the user to create, control, and become a plant at their will. Thus making the user similar to a living forest.
