Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Receives NBTC Certification in Thailand; Launch Soon?

Samsung’s next-generation flagship smartphone will be theGalaxy S24 Ultra. While the company has not officially spoken much about it, we have seen the S24 Ultra in allegedreal-life images. Now, it looks like the phone is moving rapidly towards launch!

Today, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra received certification fromNBTC (via:MySmartPrice). This latest development points us towards exciting news for the upcoming Samsung flagship. NBTC is Thailand’s National Broadcasting & Telecommunications Commission, and basically, any smartphone that will be sold in the country has to undergo this certification process.

Not a lot of details were revealed in the certification, apart from the model numberSM-S928B/DSbeing used for a ‘Galaxy S24 Ultra‘. The manufacturer has been stated as Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. Korea, and the certification has officially been approved. Talking about theS24 Ultra release date, the latest leak points towards an early 2024release schedule.

What do we expect from S24 Ultra? A much better & recentSnapdragon 8 Gen 3processor is definitely one of the major things we expect from the new phone. We have gone back and forth on theTitanium framerumor, but the latest leak on this pointed toward a high probability that we will be seeing it on the Galaxy S24 Ultra. With this added structural feature, Samsung will go toe-to-toe against theiPhone 15 Pro Maxwhich does have a titanium frame.

Also, the last leak on the S24 Ultra showed the upcoming flagship in real life (allegedly). This directly hinted that the S24 Ultra is getting aflat displayinstead of a curved one. All the high-end display features (such as AMOLED panel with S-Pen support) are expected to remain. But still, this will be a drastic shift in Samsung’s design language for its phones. It will be interesting to see ifcurved screensget phased out, starting with S24 Ultra.

What are your personal expectations from the Galaxy S24 Ultra? Do you think it will offer the ultimate flagship Android experience, just like last year’s models? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
