Valorant Team Deathmatch Mode Rules

Unlike the basic Deathmatch mode where you play alone, you play with other players in teams of 5 in the Team Deathmatch mode. So, let’s look at the gameplay mechanics of TDM mode in Valorant.

How to WinTeam Deathmatch

The first thing is how to win a Team Deathmatch mode in Valorant. To win a game, all you and your teammates need to do is get 100 kills. The team who gets 100 kills first wins the game. If the game’s timer runs out, then the team leading will be victorious. The game will be a draw if both teams have the same amount of kills.

Match Timer and Respawn

The Team Deathmatch’sduration is 9 minutes and 30 secondsin Valorant. The total game duration is split into 4 stages. You can see which stage is ongoing at the top of your screen.

The first three stages take 75 seconds each. The final stage is the longest, ending after 345 seconds. Yourespawn every 1.5 secondsafter you die.

Guns and Armor Loadout

The game starts with the first stage where you get to choose a gun out of three options. After every stage, new weapons start unlocking for you to use. Since it is a Deathmatch, there is no economy to maintain.

In Valorant’s Team Deathmatch, if you die and respawn after a new stage starts, your weapon will upgrade automatically. Also, make sure to keep an eye on the armor you are selecting when selecting loadout.

Gun Spawn Around Map

Alongside guns from the spawn shop, which you get from your spawn, you can also get guns from around the map. In Team Deathmatch mode, you can find different guns around the map.

The spawned guns are usually upgrades of the usual stage guns and can be destroyed using the gun drop button, which will get your loadout gun back in your hands. It will also go away once you use all the ammo from the spawned gun, as it contains limited ammo.

AbilitiesUnlocked

Unlike the normal Deathmatch in Valorant, the Team version of it allows you to use your abilities. Every ability takes a different time to get recharged. Unlike normal abilities, your ultimate ability percentage increases with every kill you secure. You can alsograb the ultimate orb, which will spawn in specific places on the map, to get your ultimate faster.

Healing Orbs

With ultimate orbs, you can also find healing orbs around the maps. These orbsspawn every 30 secondsin specific places on each map. The healing orbs also known as “Recovery orbs” restore HP and Shield for over 6 seconds and the maximum shield restored depends on the selected loadout.

The Spawn Room

If you die in Team Deathmatch mode in Valorant, you spawn in the Spawn Room after 1.5 seconds. You cannot use any ability or gunfire inside the Spawn Room. You also gain a protective shield that protects you from taking damage for 15 seconds. This will help avoid spawn killings. However, don’t stay at your spawn for a longer period or the room will start damaging you.
